LOST PRINCESS RETURNED!
Pictured Above Left to Right: The Queen, Pascal, Rapunzel, and The King
Eighteen excruciatingly long years ago our quaint Kingdom of Corona received quite possibly its biggest blessing alongside quite possibly its largest tragedies. Let us first rewind to when the Queen fell ill with a disease that almost proved fatal had it not been for the magic yellow flower discovered by some of the King's men. The duration of her illness persisted to be a woeful time for the entire kingdom of which seemed to suffer just as much as she did. Luckily, the growing cloud of mourning was quickly remedied with the return of the Queen's health and announcement of her pregnancy.
Nine short months later Corona was given its first princess and her royal parents were overjoyed! Her name was Rapunzel, a name inspired by her shimmering golden hair. In honor of her birth, the entire kingdom lit thousands of special lanterns and released them into the sky. What could be more perfect to bring a kingdom out of tragedy and mourning than the birth of a beautiful princess? Not only one years old and she had the Kingdom wrapped around her tiny finger. However these blissful days times did not last, for mere days after her birth she was snatched from the safety of her crib. Frantic, the King sent out men to search for their bundle of joy and beacon of hope. Downtrodden and brokenhearted the men returned alone, without Rapunzel. Taken aback at the sudden loss, Corona spiraled into a period of misery for the second time. The only connection the King and Queen had to their beautiful baby girl was the lanterns that they lit each year on her birthday-light in the dark to lead her home again. This is the cycle that would remain for eighteen more years-until now. Let it be known that on this glorious day our princess has returned to us at last! With her return she has single handedly carried her Kingdom out of its darkest place and reignited the fire of hope in her people. Since Princess Rapunzel has been erased from the royal picture for so long, many have been dying to hear the story of her eighteen year life living apart. After having the pleasure of sitting down with this "bright" young woman-no pun intended- the entire story was at long last brought to "light." |
Eighteen years ago Rapunzel was indeed snatched from her crib, but by whom? An evil woman that goes by the name of Gothal. For years Gothal visited a magic flower that restored her youth at the sing of a special song. When the Queen of Corona fell ill this very magic flower was the one she consumed to restore her health. Rapunzel was born with the gift of golden blonde hair-hair that encased the magic of the flower eaten by her mother. Hungry for the flower's magic power Gothal tried to harvest its magic, but when cut Rapunzel's hair turns brown and becomes devoid of all magic capabilities. Gothal's only choice was to take the infant Repunzel and raise her as her own daughter. She took Repunzel and raised her in a hidden tower separate from the world and used the magic of Repunzel's hair to keep herself young and beautiful for eighteen years. Growing up in a hidden tower, the royal life Repunzel was born into became nonexistent, the child was completely oblivious to her true self "Every year as far back as I can remember, I saw the floating lights" states Repunzel upon her return. For years the girl dreamed of leaving her tower and watching them for real, but it wasn't until her eighteenth birthday that the opportunity presented itself-thanks to the help of renowned thief Flynn Rider. The Princess' journey back to us was not to go without struggle, however she persevered through many hardships and in the end came to realize where she truly belonged. As for Gothal, her end was not so pleasant. Before Repunzel's return, Flynn bravely cut her magic hair stripping it of its magical power. This had a very bad, very reversed affect on Gothal. Let's just say, her years finally caught up to her. As for Repunzel, she is home once more where she enjoys the company of her royal parents and the love of her dashing prince, Flynn Rider. I guess one could say she even they are living happily ever after. |
